On July 29, 2019, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals signed a Judgment of Disbarment against Baltimore MD attorney G. Michael Cooper III, 74, State Bar of Texas Card No. 04775600. On January 12, 2007 the Supreme Court of Illinois entered an Order and Mandate disbarring Mr. Cooper in a matter styled, In the Matter of: G. Michael Cooper III, Attorney-Respondent, No. 513164, Supreme Court N, M.R.21194. The court found that Cooper converted client funds to his own use and violated Illinois Rules of Professional Conduct 5.5(a) (practice law without a license), 8.4(a)(4) (dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation), 8.4(a)(5) (conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice). On August 30, 2019, Mr. Cooper filed a Motion for New Trial with the Board. BODA case no. 58355.
