In the Matter of Perry Cortese

Mr. Cortese was convicted on October 16, 2017 of one count of conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1341, 1343, and 1349 and one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering in violation of 18 U.S.C. 1956(a)(2)(A), 1956(a)(2)(B)(i), and 1956(h), was sentenced on October 20, 2017 to 300 months incarceration (240 months as count one and 60 months as to count two to run consecutively), and ordered to pay restitution of $3,767,196 (United States of America v. Perry Don Cortese, Case No. 8:15-cr5-320-T-23TGW, United States District Court, Middle District of Florida, Tampa Division). Respondent has appealed the conviction and is apparently incarcerated pending appeal. BODA case no. 59813.
