In the Matter of Tshombe Ali Anderson

On October 10, 2018, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals signed an interlocutory order of suspension against Mansfield, Texas attorney Tshombe Ali Anderson, 51, State Bar of Texas Card No. 24012218. Mr. Anderson answered the petition for compulsory discipline but did not appear at the hearing. On May 9, 2018 Anderson pled guilty to Conspiracy to Commit Health Care Fraudin violation of 18 USC § 1349, 1347, an Intentional Crime as defined in the Texas Rules of Disciplinary Procedure, in the case styled, United States of America v. Tshombe Anderson, Defendant, Cause No. 3:15-CR-409-M(1) in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas , Dallas Division. Mr. Anderson was sentenced to prison for ten years, followed by supervised release for three years and ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $26,572,458.93. Anderson appealed his criminal conviction and on February 26, 2019 the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit dismissed his appeal. On March 20, 2019, the court issued its mandate and the criminal appeal is final. The Commission for Lawyer Discipline filed a Motion for Entry of Judgment of Disbarment. BODA cause number 60492.
