In re DANIEL JAY GOLDBERG

On August 27, 2002, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals signed a judgment of disbarment against Houston attorney Daniel Jay Goldberg, 50, SBOT Card No. 08075050. Goldberg pled guilty to aggregate theft, a third degree felony, and an intentional crime as defined in the Texas Rules of Disciplinary Procedure, in Cause Number 867386, styled The State of Texas v. Daniel Jay Goldberg, in the 209th District Court of Harris County, Texas. On or about July 17, 2001, Goldberg was placed on community supervision for three years and ordered to pay a fine in the amount of $2,000, to pay court costs in the amount of $237.25 and perform 400 hours of community service. Goldberg appealed this matter to the Supreme Court of Texas in Cause No. 02-0853. The Supreme Court of Texas affirmed the judgment of disbarment without written opinion on March 6, 2003.
