In re JOHN F. McKAY

On February 27, 2004, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals entered an agreed judgment of public reprimand against Baton Rouge, Louisiana attorney, John F. McKay, SBOT Card No. 00790173. The Texas reprimand was imposed as a result of McKay having been found to have committed misconduct in a disciplinary proceeding in Louisiana. On or about December 12, 2003 the Supreme Court of Louisiana ordered that the Petition for Consent Discipline be accepted and that McKay be publicly reprimanded in the case styled, In re John F. McKay, case no. 2003-B-3093. In accordance with Part IX of the Texas Rules of Disciplinary Procedure which require that the identical discipline be imposed in Texas to the extent practicable, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals issued an agreed judgment of public reprimand.
