In re JUAN R. LEDESMA

On January 24, 2003, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals entered a judgment of disbarment against Mission attorney Juan R. Ledesma, 52, SBOT Card No. 12108700. Ledesma pled guilty to conspiracy to possess, with the intent to distribute, approximately 2.5 kilograms of cocaine and 2,060 kilograms of marijuana, a felony in violation of 21 U.S.C. §§841(a)(1), 841(b)(1)(A) and 846 and an intentional crime as defined in the Texas Rules of Disciplinary Procedure, in case number 7:00CR00310-001, styled, The United States of America v. Juan R. Ledesma, in the United States District Court, Southern District of Texas, McAllen Division. On February 25, 2001, Ledesma was sentenced to federal prison for 66 months. Upon release, Ledesma shall be under supervision for three years. In addition, Ledesma was ordered to pay a fine in the amount of $100.00.
