On May 7, 2014, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals signed a default judgment of disbarment of Shreveport, LA attorney, Joseph Wm. Bailey, 69, State Bar of Texas Card No. 01529200. Mr. Bailey was disbarred by the Supreme Court of the State of Louisiana on or about April 12, 2013 in In Re: Joseph W. Bailey, No. 2012-B-2536, for violating Louisiana Rules of Professional Conduct 1.5 and 1.7, 1.15, 5.3 and 8.4(c). Although cited to appear, Mr. Bailey did not appear. Mr. Bailey appealed this decision to the Supreme Court of Texas cause no. 14-0418. The Supreme Court affirmed BODA's decision on December 19, 2014. BODA cause number 52881.
