On or about November 30, 2004, Adkins pled guilty to Theft under $50, a Class C misdemeanor and an intentional crime as defined in the Texas Rules of Disciplinary Procedure, styled, The State of Texas v. Thomas Ronald Adkins, in the Justice of the Peace Court, Precinct 4, Place 1 of Harris County, Texas. Adkins was fined $492. Adkins’ sentence was not fully probated, although probation was available. Adkins did not appear at the hearing.
