Donald G. Macphail v. Comm'n for Lawyer Disc

On July 25, 2011, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals dismissed for want of prosecution the appeals of Abilene attorney Donald G. Macphail, 43, State Bar of Texas Card No.00788757, from two judgments of partially probated suspension signed on January 19, 2011 by the Evidentiary Panel for the State Bar of Texas District 14 grievance committee in Case Nos. D003937061 and D0050937415 (48194) and D0070937833 (48247) Macphail did not file a brief in either case and the Board issued Orders to Show Cause in both appeals to Macphail on June 9, 2011, giving him 30 days to respond and show cause as to why the appeals should not be dismissed for want of prosecution. Macphail did not respond. Macphail remains suspended from the practice of law January 20, 2015, with the suspension probated from January 21, 2013 until January 20, 2015.
