LEE SWIFT v. Comm'n for Lawyer DIscipline
On March 11, 2003, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals affirmed the judgment of disbarment against San Marcos attorney Lee Swift, 67, SBOT Card No. 19584000, signed by the evidentiary panel of the State Bar of Texas District 10B Grievance Committee on December 19, 2001, in Cause No. S0060008390. Finding that there was not substantial evidence to support the amount of restitution as ordered by the committee, the Board remanded the matter to the State Bar of Texas District 10B Grievance Committee for a new hearing solely on the issue of the proper amount of restitution. On March 31, 2003, Swift appealed the decision to the Supreme Court of Texas, case no. 03-0300. On September 25, 2003, the Texas Supreme Court dismissed the appeal for want of prosecution.
