In re DIMITRI ANDREI FILIPPOV

On January 22, 2004, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals signed a judgment of disbarment against Houston attorney Dimitri Andrei Filippov, 31, SBOT Card No. 24027374. Filippov pled guilty to unlawful delivery of a controlled substance, Ecstasy, in an amount by aggregate weight, including any adulterants or dilutants, of 4 grams or more but less than 400 grams, a first degree felony, in violation of §481.113(d) of the Texas Health and Safety Code, and an intentional crime as defined in the Texas Rules of Disciplinary Procedure, in Case Number F-0020831-MW, styled State of Texas v. Dimitri Andrei Filippov, in the 363rd District Court of Dallas County, Texas. On or about January 5, 2001, Fillipov was placed on deferred adjudication probation for seven years and ordered to pay a fine in the amount of $2,500. Filippov appealed this decision to the Texas Supreme Court, cause number 04-0151. The Texas Supreme Court affirmed the decision of the Board of Disciplinary Appeals on June 18, 2004 and denied a motion for rehearing on August 27, 2004.
