In re John M. Burnett Jr.

On April 4, 2011 the Supreme Court of New Mexico accepted Mr. Burnette's resignation in lieu of discipline in the matter styled, In the matter of John M. Burnette Jr., an attorney suspended from the practice of law before the courts of the State of New Mexico, No. 32,883. Mr. Burnette currently resides in Arkansas.  The complaints involved 15 separate personal injury cases wherein Burnette failed to pay medical providers after settling the claim, failed to pay his client after settling the claim and failing to hold the funds of another in a trust account and engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice.
