On June 30, 2005, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals issued an opinion and order reversing the judgment of fully-probated suspension against Odessa attorney Cindy Renea Weir, 43, SBOT Card No. 21099420, issued by an evidentiary panel of the State Bar of Texas District 15D grievance committee on February 4, 2004. The Board found that the Commission for Lawyer Discipline failed to prove as a matter of law that Weir had charged an unconscionable fee in violation of Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct 1.04(a).
