Lloyd Eugene Ward v. Comm'n for Lawyer Discipline

On April 23, 2018, after considering the briefs of the parties, the record, and hearing oral argument the Board of Disciplinary Appeals affirmed the public reprimand of Dallas attorney Lloyd Eugene Ward, 56, State Bar of Texas Card No. 20845100, signed on August 17, 2017 by the Evidentiary Panel for the State Bar of Texas District 6-2 grievance committee in Case No. 201401402. The panel found that Ward violated Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct 8.04(a)(3) when he engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, and/or misrepresentation in the course of handling various debt settlement matters. BODA cause number 59515. Mr. Ward appealed the judgment of the Board to the Supreme Court of Texas, Case no. 18-0410 and the Board's judgment was affirmed on October 19, 2018.
