On August 1, 2016, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals signed a default judgment of disbarment of Church Point, LA attorney, Malcolm Brasseaux, 73, State Bar of Texas Card No. 02911000. Mr. Brasseaux’s request for permanent resignation in lieu of discipline was granted by the Supreme Court of The State of Louisiana in a matter styled, In re: Malcolm Brasseaux, Case No. 2015-OB-1654. Mr. Brasseaux was found to have the following Louisiana Rules of Professional Conduct:1.3, 1.4(a), 1.4(b), 1.4(c), 1.8(e), and 8.4(a).
