On February 3, 2015, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals signed a default judgment of fully probated suspension of Alexandria, La. attorney Darrell Keith Hickman, 54, State Bar of Texas Card No. 09572980. Mr. Hickman was suspended from the practice of law for one year, with the suspension deferred in its entirety, by the Supreme Court of Louisiana on or about May 16, 2014 in In Re: Darrell K. Hickman, No. 2014-B-0817 for violating Louisiana Rules of Professional Conduct 1.4(a) (failed to properly communicate with a client regarding the true status of her case), 8.4(c) (engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, deceit, or misrepresentation); and 8.4(a) (violated or attempted to violate the Rules of Professional Conduct). He is on a fully probated suspension from the practice of law in Texas for one year, beginning February 3, 2015. Although cited to appear, Mr. Hickman did not answer or appear.
