On March 18, 2003, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals dismissed for want of prosecution the appeal of Houston attorney Roderick L. Garrett, 32, SBOT Card No. 00795367, of a default order of disbarment issued by the Evidentiary Panel for the State Bar of Texas District 04A grievance committee in Case No. H0100024343 on September 3, 2002. The Board found that Garrett did not file a reporter's record or a brief. The Board issued an Order to Show Cause to Garrett on February 7, 2003, giving him 30 days to respond and show cause as to why this appeal should not be dismissed for want of prosecution. Garrett did not respond.
