In the Matter of Derrick Duane Cornejo

On April 16, 2019, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals signed a Judgment of Suspension against Parker, CO attorney Derrick Duane Cornejo, 48, State Bar of Texas Card No. 24048049. On June 26, 2015 the Supreme Court of Colorado entered an Amended Order and Notice of Suspension in a matter styled, Complainant: The People of the State of Colorado, respondent: Derrick Duane Cornejo, #29438, Case Number 13PDJ066 and suspended Cornejo from the practice of law for 18 months for his violation of Colorado Rules of Professional Conduct 3.4(c) (knowingly disobey an order of a tribunal); 5.5(a)(1) (practice law without a license); and 8.4(c) (dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation. Mr. Cornejo is suspended from the practice of law in Texas for 18 months, beginning April 16, 2019. BODA case no. 61814.
