On March 2, 2006, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals dismissed for want of prosecution the appeal of Houston attorney Everett J. McClain, 50, SBOT Card No. 00786850, of a default judgment of partially probated suspension issued by the Evidentiary Panel for the State Bar of Texas District 4D8 grievance committee in Case Nos. H0060417823. The Board found that McClain did not file a reporter's record or a brief. The Board issued an Order to Show Cause o McClain on January 10, 2006, giving him 30 days to respond and show cause as to why this appeal should not be dismissed for want of prosecution. McClain did not respond.
