On October 31, 2022, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals entered a Judgment of Disbarment against San Diego, CA attorney Erik James Burris, 46, State Bar of Texas Card No. 24061360. On December 16, 2015, a General Court-Martial Order Number 10 was entered by the Department of the Army, Headquarters, Fort Bragg, North Carolina, wherein Burris, was found guilty of Assault, Rape, Sexual Assault, Sodomy, and Other Sexual Misconduct under the UCMJ and was sentenced to be dismissed from the service, to be confined for 20 years, and to forfeit all pay and allowances.
