On September 4, 2025, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals entered an Agreed Judgment of Public Reprimand in the reciprocal discipline case against Lafayette, LA attorney Richard Collins Dalton [#24033539]. On February 6, 2024, an Order Per Curium was entered by the Supreme Court of Louisiana styled In re: Richard C. Dalton, No. 2023-B-0772, in which the court approved a Joint Petition for Consent Discipline and imposed a public reprimand. Dalton agreed that he violated Louisiana Rules of Professional Conduct 1.2(a) (failure to abide by client decisions), 1.8(k) (conflict of interest), and 8.4(a) (violation of Rules of Professional Conduct).
