The Board of Disciplinary Appeals is pleased to announce Jenny Hodgkins as its new Executive Director and General Counsel.  With over twenty years in public and private practice, Jenny brings a wealth of specialized legal and administrative experience to the office.  She served the Supreme Court of Texas for over fifteen years as Staff Attorney to Justice Paul W.

On March 20, 2020, the Texas Supreme Court issued Misc. Docket No. 20-9046. The order tolls all deadlines related to attorney discipline matters retroactive from March 13, 2020. The order expires on May 8, 2020 unless extended. Click here to download a copy of the order.

Congratulations to our only executive director and counsel, Chris McKeeman, on her retirement on January 31, 2020, after 27 years of dedicated service.  At a reception held at the Texas Supreme Court, Ms. McKeeman was congratulated and thanked for her many years of service and dedication to the attorney discipline system by past and present Board members, members of the Court, executives of the State Bar of Texas, friends, and family. We will miss you, Chris.

On August 23, 2019, the Supreme Court of Texas appointed three new members to the Board: Jessica Z. Barger of Houston, Guy Choate of San Angelo,  and Joe Cleveland of Fort Worth.
